Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1.) I would like to paint my house, replace my roof, add a air-conditioning unit.  Do I need to request approval from the HOA?    Yes.  Any major change to the house or landscaping that can be seen from the street should be approved by the HOA.  If the paint scheme is the same as the current, then approval is not needed.  If the roof is the same or similar you don't necessarily need approval but if prefer to be safe, you can always request the HOA review. 

2.) How do I attain approval from the HOA to make any major changes to house or landscaping?   Simple.  Send an email to vineyardcresthoa@gmail.com.  Please include who you are, the address of the property and details of the updates.  Please include scope and timeline of the work.  The more detailed the request, the faster it can be approved.  The request will be reviewed by the Board and then sent to ACC to review.  Approval can take up to 30 days (VC CC&R's) but we are typically faster than that.  If we have additional questions, we will ask otherwise, if approved, you will receive an official approval from the HOA that will be put on file. 

3.) I am not sure if the work I would like to requires approval.  How can I check?   The Vineyard Crest CC&R's can be found on the second page of this website and can be reviewed there.   If you cannot find the answer you're looking for, simply email the HOA at vineyardcresthoa@gmail.com. and we help review with you. 

4.) I would like to volunteer for the board or the Architectural Control Committee (ACC)  How do I go about becoming a member?  We typically vote every year for new board members.  The positions are voluntary and consist of the President, Treasure, Secretary and ACC Members.  The jobs are split so as not one person must spend an inordinate amount of time of board work.  We would love additional volunteers so if you would like to join the board, please email the HOA. 

5.) I am a homeowner but renting my property.  I have a lease agreement with the renters in which they are to take care of general landscape such as mowing the grass, raking up leaves and maintaining the yard.  Will this suffice?   No. It is the homeowner's responsibility to maintain their property, home and yard whether you are residing in your home, or you have renters occupying the property. If homeowners don’t maintain their yard after appropriate warning, we will have our landscapers mow and charge it to the owners.
